Why subscribe and read

The journal Architecture and Urban Planning reflects most of the research themes and content of global and local problems in the context of the countries of Baltic Sea region and beyond. The journal is focused on such themes as History of Architecture and Urbanism, Preservation and Development of Cultural Heritage, Theories and Criticism of Architecture and Urbanism, Local and Global Tendencies in Architecture and Urban Planning, Sustainable Architecture and Urban Environment, and Landscape Architecture.

Type of Manuscripts

The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts for publication (submitted articles should be original and have not already been published or submitted for publication elsewhere):　
Article: Original research manuscripts that have not been published elsewhere. Articles shall have a maximum length of 6000 words. During a potential revision stage, the article length can be extended to 8500 words.　
Review: A manuscript that provides a review of the current state of research on a particular topic. Reviews shall have a maximum of 8500 words.　

Open Access Statement

The journal is an Open Access journal that allows a free unlimited access to all its contents without any restrictions upon publication to all users.

Publication fees

Dear authors,
starting from the 10th of February 2025 we have a change in the article processing charge. Article processing charge (APC) for each manuscript accepted for publication after peer-review is as follows:

* 291.50 euro

Please be informed, that for the articles submitted starting from the 1st of August 2025 the publication fee is as follows:

 * 450.00 euro

The fee is applicable only if the article is accepted for publication.

The journal does not have any submission fees.

Numerous universities and funding agencies allocate funds to cover article processing charges. We recommend authors to contact their departments if funds are available to cover publication costs.
The Article Processing Charge includes: editorial, language copyediting, proofreading, layout design, electronic publishing, project management, administrational costs.
